Yea, do you remember the summer of 2010 in Estonia & this sweltering heat... Summer dress 2010 - some ribbons & little bit of human fur.

Trashman

"He went to take out the garbage and never returned" is a frequent motive in Soviet books and films. Photo by Mare Sabolotny, Tallinn, March 2009

Gimme a ticket to Moscow

"Gimme a ticket to Moscow. Please, I really need it, my friend has a première in MXAT. Yes, the theater. Come on, he's the member of the party and I am wearing this foreign nylon jacket my other friend got from Finland. Does you husband like Marlboro cigarettes? I have half a pack. Now, please, gimme the ticket."
This is how somebody would have fought for a ticket in Tallinn train station in 1982, wearing exactly the same outfit.

All cool things

She's got all the cool things of this season - colourful rubber boots, maghrebish pants... and a fur hat. Photo by Rosin (Kass Ting), opening of Eesti Nägu (Estonian Face) exhibition, 5 February 2009, Kunstihoone, Tallinn.

Mountain goat in cult club

A coat made of real mountain goat skin just asks to be spiced up with a pair of cost-nothing handyman gloves (7 EEK = 0.5€ (yes, 50 euro cents); Eve never buys gloves that cost more than 10EEK) , a horse shaped pedestrian reflector and a plastic bag of foreign origin. Super Furry Animal
Pan-European winter attack can be survived if you keep your head, hands and legs warm. We love furry girls. Photo by Laura Kaljuveer.

Breaking the Law

It seems that if you wear enough fur you can consider yourself an animal and do not have to obey traffic signs meant for people and vehicles. That overcoat is absolutely fabulous and practical, though. Would love to see a corresponding hat with that. Photo by Andres Putting, 8. December 2008.

Fur Hats Forever

Respect to all furry animals! They are wiser than humans who have lost most of their hair in so called evolution and even shaving off the few that are left. On the other hand humans are wise enough to produce false fur. A fur hat was neglected for a while but it's making a great come back in Estonia and all around the world. Keep your head and feet warm and you'll survive. Photo by Rosin (Kass Ting) on a book presentation in December 2008.

Natural Fur Is Cool

An apology for all animal rights activists but wearing white natural fur is the right attitude with the cold Estonian winter approaching. That is what the albino European Polecat (Mustela putorius, tuhkur in Estonian) is doing. The lovely pet and its mistress are visiting artist Sandra Jõgeva's book presentation.
